Called In Sick, Got Fired From Work
I was fired from my job because yesterday I called in sick because I had an interview. Supposedly some snitch told on me. I don’t care who it was or how they found out. But I want to know if it was legal to fire me for that reason?

You screwed the pooch. Did your boss confront you about it or were you fired only on hearsay? Doesn’t matter, really. An employer can fire you for any reason, even a bad or unfair reason, so long as it’s not an illegal reason. The state of MT has some exceptions. Employment contracts and union members may also handled differently, especially if it was hearsay.
