Denied A Job Because Of Appearance

Is it against the law to refuse employment because of appearance?  Like tattoo’s that aren’t visible, like on the back, but it’s a weed plant.

One Response to Denied A Job Because Of Appearance

  • Not A Lawyer says:

Most tatoo policies state that tats can’t be visible. Keep your shirt on and your mouth zipped. The only time appearance would play a factor is if the person has a disability. Then disability discrimination comes into play because being disabled is a protected class. Having tatoos does not put you in any kind of a protected class.
