Did Not Steal Money, But Was Still Fired From Work
Let’s say a person was working as a cashier and one night their drawer came up significantly short. When confronted the cashier says they did not take the money. Management fires them, regardless of what they say.
After the person has been fired, management looks at video surveillance of the cashier’s shift. The cashier never takes money from the cash register in this video. The cashier is told by management that they knew all along the employee did not take the money.
Would there be any way to fight this? How can a person be fired for something they did not do when there is video evidence of the entire night?
