Discrimination Coming From New Manager
I work for a well known retail and we have a new manager, he is very young and i believe this is his first job, well this is the story, couple days ago I smashed my finger with the car door ( it hurt so bad) and i missed that day at work ( i do lot a with my hands), well the next day when i showed to work he told me if i was in my country, I’d have chopped my finger off and they’d have put me back to work. I was so upset at that moment and i did not said a word to him, later on i told him that his comment was unacceptable and he apologized, saying that he was just joking ( I don’t joke around at work). I was very upset and i thought maybe i should talk to the store manager, but i decide not to do so since I accepted his apology, but the whole thing is still bothering me. What should i do?, thanks

@davetrader is correct. The incident should be documented. Hopefully it was just an isolated comment, but it does say something about the nature of this person. Whether it be something he feels is just his sense of humor or perhaps that’s they way he really thinks, the fact remains that it came out of his mouth. Some day in the future you may need to show there was an established pattern of abuse and if it’s all documented, it’s as good as gold.

I suggest you notify his supervisor, so that he can document the incident. You may accept his apology and this may be an isolated incident, but if he continues to make offensive comments, management will need a paper trail in order to terminate him.
I don’t think this classifies as discrimination but it can be considered a hostile work environment if he continues to make off-color jokes after you have asked him to stop. By the way, you did the absolute right thing by telling him you were offended. A lot of people jump straight to wanting to sue or get a person fired without even telling the offender that s/he crossed a personal line.
Good luck!
