EEOC Pregnancy Discrimination Settlement: How Much Should I Get?

How much can a woman expect to receive in a EEOC pregnancy discrimination settlement? I am in Florida and the EEOC took my case because my ex-employer fired me a week after I mentioned that I was possibly pregnant and it turned out I was. I had been with them almost 2 years and was also coming up on 2 weeks vacation pay which I never did get. Now the EEOC has said that my ex-employer admitted to being in the wrong and wants to settle out with me. I told the EEOC to tell my ex-employer to make me an offer and if it was reasonable we would go from there. I have not consulted with and attorney yet. Does anyone have any idea on what amount would likely be paid? How high could I go without being ridiculous? I was told by EEOC that it’s typical to get a years salary…but the pain and suffering side of this story is that right before I was fired, I had co-signed with my father to buy myself a 2008 vehicle and had not even made the first payment when I got the news and my rent was due as well and I went to the ER a few times thinking I was losing my baby. Because what kind of price does a person put on a situation where I thought I was losing my baby and was about to have no vehicle or home ? My father helped me and I am now 7 months thank God, and got another job 3 weeks later.

I just don’t know how much money I am entitled to receive.
