Do people have strong grudges at work?
I am scheduled to finish a course, and have received employment at a place where 3 other colleagues who really hate me will be going. They ignore me, and give me very hostile, cold responses, no matter how friendly i try and be with them. Also, I cannot change my placement, as i really like this place, and is the most practical for me…only problem is these 3 people who hold very strong grudges against me. I even tried asking them what I am doing wrong, and if we can just be cool with each other, but they tell me there is nothing wrong, yet they still isolate me, stare at me through the corner of their eyes, and laugh at me.
Do you think things will change for me? Naturally, people will have problems with some others at work, so does it make a difference for me? When I start working, I’m sure these 3 people will badmouth me, and as human psychology has it, others will think the problem is with me. I actually know some really nice seniors at this workplace, which is another reason why i want to go..but it’s just these 3 people i’m scared of.

It depends on what the underlying root cause is. Once you all start working together, ask yourself, is it in any way disriminatory to your race, color, religion, gender, age or wages? http://eeoc.gov/laws/types/index.cfm
