I was injured at work, do I have a lawsuit?

I work as an adult actor for a small time adult entertainment business (yes, porn)

The other day, while ‘working’, my partner was on stop of me and fell in a way that broke my penis. I was rushed to the hospital. My employer is refusing to pay my medical bills, but the accident was definitely at no fault of my own. I’m not trying to run them out of business, but I can’t afford to pay these medical bills.

  • Chris from Lawsuit Loan says:

The answer is yes. If you injured yourself on the job whether its your fault or not, you can file for workers compensation. All legitimate companies should provide workers compensation for their employees. Like any other lawsuit, if not insured you have the right to sue him or her in civil court for medical expenses, lost wages etc. You should contact a workers comp attorney.

  • If you are injured on the job, regardless of whether or not it’s in the adult entertainment business, you can file a worker’s comp claim. If your employer is doing business under the table and doesn’t pay for WC insurance, then sue. Click here to find an employment attorney in your area and get a consultation.
