Missouri: Collecting Unpaid Commission Wages
Hello. I’ve recently begun a job that I plan to leave tomorrow. The company is so messed up, I can’t begin to go into it all. I have two questions for anyone who happens to know anything about employment law (especially in Missouri) or any legal definitions.
1. The commission structure with this company states that you get paid your commission upon the arrival of a guest at the vacation resort. These arrival dates must be booked 6 months into the future. The company does not pay you your commission once you are no longer employed. This means that I will not start seeing commissions for 7 or more months, and that I and everyone else who works for the company will never get paid for all of the sales they made. Is this legal?

You’ll need to contact your state’s department of labor regarding commission wages. Here is an article I found http://www.rigganlawfirm.com/lawyer-attorney-1649215.html
I know it doesn’t help you, but in California, you may be entitled to partial commissions because you did complete the work, your end of the transaction. You made the sale so you are entitled to something. Missouri might have something similar.
