The assistant manager made a racially discriminating comment about Muslims towards me. a group of workers were talking about the war in Iraq and they were talking about suicide bombers, and how they’re are some that are still alive. the assistant manger turns around and says “oh, that’s why (my name) always wears that jacket to work.” everyone was shocked. No words can describe how hurt I was by that comment, because they tend to forget that I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. I was born in America! Just because I’m middle eastern, does not give them the right to say that about me. I feel so helpless and its made it an uncomfortable work zone for me. What if she had called an african american the n word?! I know this is racial discrimination, but what are my rights? I want her fired. Is that possible? They said they were going to transfer her to another store, but that’s not fair towards me. Is their a law I could bring up to make them take this situation seriously..? Please help me! Thanks in advance!!

Btw the main manager wants her fired because of this, but he can’t. He isn’t in the position to do so.
