Racial Discrimination In Hiring Process

A Reader Asks This Question:

I have actually witnessed racial discrimination in my work place. Who should I contact for assistance?  African-Americans with education and experience are being passed over for promotions and the jobs are being given to Caucasians with little or no education or experience.

@Linda R you are absolutely wrong. Even witnesses can report it. Besides, who said anything about suing?

Report it to HR and kindly remind them at the same time that you will not tolerate any form of retaliation against you for reporting it. If you don’t feel comfortable going to HR, that file a whistleblower claim with the EEOC and your state’s department of labor. Make sure you can offer proof for your claim. They will investigate.

Only the victim can sue for ‘racial discrimination’….NOT a witness.
