Racism and Discrimination: Women & Minorities Getting Bonuses
I was at work the other day reading the newsletter in the break-room And it was saying how all women and minorities get 1 time bonuses when they get promoted. What the hell is up with that ? Also a Co-Worker of mine Jamacian and a women said she gets extra discounts Just because shes a minority. That is B.S. So If you have white skin Youre basically screwed ? Why the hell do I even bother to try and work hard to get that promotion. Things like this piss me off so incredibly bad. Isnt that discrimination ? I believe if you work hard and you become qulified to take the next step you should get it, cuz you worked hard to get it. Not because of your race or gender, and or because the quota needs to be feeled. Can someone help me out here cuz Im on the verge of writting my company a letter to tell them how I feel. And it could get me fired. And Can I file suit against the company because of this ?

The thing is, that and many other programs like affirmative action are a legislative mandate rather than some company’s policy. The whole premace is to counteract employment nepotism, which you have to admit does exist. And it is a statistic that most people in administrative/executive possitions are white males…I’m half white and half asian, even so I’m applicable for all those programs, but I do see it being unfair because a lot more minorities and women are in administrative possitions than in the past, and there’s no way to perfectly balance employment nepotism with programs like this. It actually segregates more than it unifies. And I think the nepotism is more along the lines of friends and family than ethnicity.
