Since I reported harassment at work, my boss writes me up for every little thing
Question:
I wrote a letter six months ago about all the sexual and verbal harrassment in my workplace. I never used to get written up in the three years I’d been there then suddenly they started writing me up for every little thing. I have possibly two witnesses for sure one that will testify that I get singled out and reprimanded for things no one else does and how I get harassed in the workplace all the time. Were going before a board soon, a jury unaffiliated with my job to appeal them now trying to fire me over lies a coworker made up about me. Do I stand a chance?

When you report illegal activity and then get singled out and “punished” for it, that’s called retaliation and that’s illegal. In order to prove your case, you need to document EVERYTHING. Every day when you get home from work, write down the day’s events on your computer at home (not at work!). If you don’t have a computer, use a notebook. Write down date, time, who was present, what was said, etc. Read your employee manual. Find things in it that your boss is violating. If he’s making up rules targeted towards only you that don’t exist in the handbook, that’s a nail in his coffin, too.
Has work become stressful because of it and do you have a hard time coping with it? Are you losing sleep, have headaches or loss of appetite? Then go to the doctor and file a Worker’s Comp claim for work related stress. It will put you in a protected class and if you get fired because of it, your boss and company WILL suffer the consequences.

are all of the write ups valid? did you actually DO these things to get the write ups? if so….then you have no room to say anything
