Transgender Discrimination At Work
3 years ago, I asked in a polite e-mail to the HR department where I worked at. I asked if, since i was the assistant manager at a Wisconsin CBRF which was co-ed at the time, why I wasn’t interviewed for the full manager job. The coordinator told me over the phone that “Its open to Females” I sent a polite e-mail to HR about it. 2 days later i got fired. Was this discrimination?

While it’s too late now to file any complaint because of the amount of time that has passed, it appears that yes, this could have been sexual orientation discrimination.
“Wisconsin was the first state to ban employment discrimination based on sexual orientation, in 1982, while Minnesota was the first state to ban employment discrimination based on both sexual orientation and gender identity when it passed the Human Rights Act in 1993.”
