Would you trust your employer if you were injured at work?

I injured my knee at work 6 months ago. And had surgery for a chondral fracture. My latest MRI shows, Chondromalacia, and cartilage degeneration. Water on the knee from a Baker’s cyst. And post traumatic arthritis. I work in corrections. And we have no light duty posts at my institution. So my choice is go back to work and say I`m better. Although I’m not. Or stay out of work collect and try and settle with my employer somewhere down the road. I enjoy my job and my friends that I work with! But I do not trust management to do right by me. If and when I have further knee problems in the future! As I’ve seen in the past. If you return and have problems. They will say its a new injury and deny your claim. So I feel damned if I do. Or damned if I don’t! Anybody that’s been here feel free to relate your experiences. Thanks!

Answer:  Who are you seeing, the “company doctor”?  It’s not a new injury.  It’s exacerbation of the previous injury.  Click here to find a workers’ compensation attorney

You need to see a workers comp attorney.

In no way would I trust an employer to do right by me. I have seen too many files come across my desk of people who got the shaft from their employer and their workers comp insurance.
