Discrimination At Work For Chin Piercing
My work place does NOT have a handbook or set rules.
Two weeks ago I got my labret (chin) pierced, the manager of my office looked at me and made a rude comment; “That’s disgusting, I would never let my grown children do that to themselves.”
Well this morning I was called into the managers office. She and the HR lady were sitting there and the manager looked at me and said “That ear ring thing on your face has to come out, now.” I argued that I couldnt take it out at work, for risk of an infection. So she gave me til the morning.
Then all of a sudden a memo went around about the companies new policy on visable piercings. They are prohibited.
Is there anything I cant do about this? I am the only person in the office that has/had a piercing.
