Anxiety In A Hospital Workplace Setting
A Reader Asks This Question:
I am a registered nurse and have experienced some really hostile work environments in the past. I now find myself, feeling terrorized about moving forward in my career or returning to nursing. I am good with people, just not the bull S***.
1. I saw an RN spit on a LPN. Twice! I was harrassed for months about this situation.
2. Scrubs hiding sponges during procedures
3. Supervisors getting in peoples faces, saying you are so f*****.
4. When mistakes are made, no accountibility.
Now, I find myself doing very unprofessional things: Like, I walked out of a job and never went back, not like me at all. Or, the inability to commit to a job.
I have talked to professionals, have tried medications, tried positive thinking, and can’t seem to get over the fear….
Has anyone ever experienced this? Any advice?
