New Jersey: Got laid off – Am I entitle to vacation pay?
I live in new jersey. i got laid off but my company does not want to pay me my vacation.
Answer: Earned vacation is treated as wages. Say you get 10 days of vacation a year and you already accrued 6 of those days, but haven’t taken them yet. They owe you those 6 days. Depending on how long you’ve been employed, you can also file an unemployment claim.
