Got Written Up At Work For Breaking A Procedure
Yesterday at my work place, I got ‘written up’ for breaking a procedure that we follow. The problem is, it’s so trivial that nobody ever goes by it and it’s basically not enforced. The supervisor who wrote me out flat out doesn’t like me and that’s why he did it. He’s the type of supervisor that is unfair, bias and a hypocritet. I.E. if you’re one of his ‘friends’ you get away with anything, if you aren’t, he always has it out for you and even gets you in trouble for doing stuff he himself is guilty of. He doesn’t like me because i’ve stood up to him before when I don’t think he’s been fair or correct, where as most people are afraid to say anything. I don’t really plan to persue this, and he is technically correct that I broke procedure, but i’m simply curious if this is any form of workplace discrimination or harassment or just an example of why you keep your mouth shut so it doesn’t come back and bite you?
